Tahoe Via Ferrata
In 2018, following 3 years of planning and building, Adrian and the guide company he founded, Alpenglow Expeditions, opened the Tahoe Via Ferrata in Squaw Valley, California. Via Ferrata, Italian for Iron Way, allow non-climbers to safely experience the adventure of climbing on exposed rock cliffs. While via ferrata are popular recreational activities in Europe and Canada, they are relatively unknown in the United States. The Tahoe Via Ferrata introduces thousands of people each summer to the thrills of exposure and climbing, and has become a “must do” when visiting Lake Tahoe.
